DIFFCRASH v.5.2.17 released

19.3.2014

Today DIFFCRASH in version 5.2.17 for LS-DYNA, PAMCRASH and RADIOSS was released. Compared to earlier DIFFCRASH versions the new version has the following improvements:

  • Better format handling for Radioss
  • Improved format endings handling (*.DSY.fz, *A.fz, *.d3plot.fz)
  • New module: DFC_Export_add for PAMCRASH and RADIOSS

    • allows to generate a bundled result file, containing all functionals of
      DIFFCRASH in one result file
    • See documentation for a detailed description

  • Matrix module for node selection with improved stability and speed
  • Merge module with improved speed for subsets of parts and time-steps
  • Replaced Node-Normalization of Math/Analysis step (not DFC_Setup) with the following normalization:

    • Node1: The displacements of this node are subtracted from all node displacements, reducing the displacements of the selected node to zero.
    • Node2: The direction from node 1 to node 2 is fixed.
    • Node3: The direction of the plane normal direction defined by the three nodes is fixed.

The new version requires the new FLEXNET SIDACT license daemon and a related license. The daemon is available from our web pages. You can download both the new version and the license daemon in our User Area.

Beside the DIFFCRASH modules, we also updated the post-processor plug-in in v.1.2 which is available in the download area as well. From now on the plug-in will be released separately, so that you can get the one according to your preferred post-processor.
